Ashley McBryde & Kurt Van Meter
This is a past event. Saturday, April 13 at 8:00pm
Ponderosa Lounge & Grill 10350 N. Vancouver Way, Portland, OR 97217
Dubbed one of Rolling Stone's "Artists You Need To Know," citing she's "an Arkansas red-clay badass, with the swagger of Hank Jr. and the songwriting of Miranda Lambert," Ashley McBryde fearlessly lays it all on the line, and it's that honest all-in approach that has led to NPR critic Ann Powers to ask if McBryde could be "among the first post-Stapleton country stars?" McBryde isn't afraid to tell the truth, get raw and real and use the spirits of country, folk and rock when it serves her greater purpose. And that's to tell the stories that shake us, make us and tell us a little more about what it's like to be human. Girl Going Nowhere, her most recent album, was nominated for a Grammy, and McBryde was recently nominated for ACM Female Artist of the Year.
Kurt Van Meter is a country music artist who has shared the stage with Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Montgomery Gentry, Little Big Town, Jake Owen and many others. Kurt's live performance is an experience which makes the crowd the show.
