Beginner's Fun with Computers and Coding

Microsoft Store - Pioneer Place 300 S.W. Yamhill St., Portland, OR

In this free two-hour workshop, students ages six to eight will learn the basics about how computers work and have fun with hands-on introductory coding activities.

By the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Complete basic coding challenges.
  • Understand the essentials about how computers work.
  • Turn the tables and “teach” adults how to complete a coding activity.

The parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult caregiver of every camp or workshop participant under 17 years of age must sign a Participation Agreement upon arrival and remain in Microsoft Store for the duration of the event.

No prior experience with computers or coding is required.
