Eric Clapton: Life In 12 Bars

This is a past event. Friday, January 12 at 7:00pm

NW Film Center/Whitsell Auditorium 1219 SW Park Avenue, Portland, OR, 97205

For many the ultimate guitar hero, Eric Clapton is one of the most iconic figures in music and one of the greatest performers of all time—the only three-time-inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and an 18-time Grammy Award winner. Tracing a virtuoso career through the Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith and Derek & the Dominos to solo stardom, Zanuck weaves a painful and deeply personal story encompassing the dizzying highs and extreme lows of his private and public life. Drawing on Clapton’s extensive personal archive, including his most famous performances, backstage footage, home movie footage, private photos, letters and diary, a portrait emerges of raw talent and ambition blighted by personal tragedy, sacrifice and addiction.
