Starting outside Clay Creative, Portland Street Art Alliance (PSAA) will provide an introduction to its work in the community, provide a brief history of graffiti. On view at Clay Creative is the recent Taylor Electric Project where PSAA organized over 100 regional artists to paint. Then, PSAA will begin its interpretive walking tour through Inner Industrial Southeast Portland, where you will see and learn about some of the best murals and graffiti in the city. Local experts, artists and advocates will tell you about the history of street art in Portland and the process of making art in the streets. You'll see a live painting demonstration by a long-time Portland street artist, where you will learn about spray painting techniques and can try your hand at handling rattle cans. The tour will conclude at Portland's newest rotating graffiti art wall. Everyone will also be given a free bag of Pacific Northwest street art stickers!
