HERE Now: Art Inspired by the Immigrant Experience

This is a past event. Friday, February 15 at 5:00pm 7:00pm

Arts Council of Lake Oswego 510 First St., Lake Oswego, OR 97034

HERE Now: Art Inspired by the Immigrant Experience engages the deeper meanings of transcultural migration to the United States. It is an exciting opportunity for a diverse and accessible conversation on U.S. immigration through the artistic lens of those who have immigrated and now call the U.S. home. The exhibition is curated by the Arts Council of Lake Oswego from community-sourced submissions bringing together personal narratives from a wide range of backgrounds. Art is a powerful vehicle for understanding and community building, and this will be an engaing space to learn more about our friends and neighbors.

HERE Now: Art Inspired by the Immigrant Experience opens February 15, 2019, with a First Friday reception from 5-7 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public with refreshments and snacks, along with the exhibition artists on-hand discussing their process.
