Portland and the entire state of Oregon are welcoming more and more visitors from around the world. Come to the Travel Portland office and hear Billie Moser, Travel Portland’s vice president of international tourism, discuss her department’s marketing efforts. Get insight into the ins and outs of inbound international tourism, including which markets Travel Portland works in proactively and why, the role of international non-stop air service, how the inbound business and buying chain work and how you can take advantage of it all.

Billie will also provide customer service training with hands-on tips and background information on the cultural differences within Portland’s primary international markets. This training has been developed for visitor-facing staff and managers at hospitality businesses including hotels, restaurants, retail spaces, attractions and tour operators, so you can learn how to provide the best customer service for both international and domestic visitors.
