Jordi Savall is an exceptional figure in today’s music world. One of the most versatile musical personalities of his generation, his activities as a concert performer, teacher, researcher and creator of new musical and cultural projects have made him a leading figure in the reappraisal of historical music. This program will be an exploration of the links between music of Spain, France and the British Isles, featuring the Galician piper Carlos Núñez, accompanied by Pancho Alvarez and Xurxo Núñez, together with Irish harpist Andrew Lawrence-King and famed bodhrán player Frank McGuire.
A tribute to the Celtic world from the North and South of Europe, especially Ireland, Scotland, French Brittany and Galicia. This musical anthology is a dialogue between Celtic historical traditions and oral heritage, between the old and the modern, between the Galician and Britton ballads, as well as Irish and Scottish folk songs.
