At this brown bag lunch event, Lisa Rubenstein Calevi will discuss the Jewish history of Venice—from the ghetto founding in 1516 to a modern-day community now facing unique and potentially divisive challenges, in an illustrated lecture titled Shylock's Venice: The Cultural, Historic and Artistic Traditions of the First Jewish Ghetto.
