Orchestral Showpieces: Slavic Spectacular

This is a past event. Friday, May 3 at 7:30pm 9:30pm

First United Methodist Church 1838 S.W. Jefferson St., Portland, OR 97201

Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra (PCSO) closes its 37th season with a program of Slavic symphonic showpieces. The entire orchestra is showcased in some of the most celebrated and exciting orchestral works ever written by Slavic composers, including the exotic Suite from the opera Háry János by Zoltán Kodály. Don't miss the artistry of this virtuoso orchestra. When you listen to this music, you get the feeling that the composer is telling you a story, and one's soul can travel there, even if the body cannot.

This concert will be repeated on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3 p.m., Reynolds H.S. Performing Arts Center, Troutdale.
