Portland Flea + Food
Last Saturday and Sunday of the month (May-Dec.)
Combining two of the things Portland does best (food and craft), Flea + Food’s seasonal monthly market takes over the Nova Building in Southeast Portland, offering more than 50 new and vintage vendors for your browsing pleasure. This collaborative project expands on the original Portland Flea by adding a vibrant showcase of local designers and a pavilion of rotating food trucks, artisan snacks and craft drinks.
Portland Night Market
Seasonal: February, May, August, November
Over-the-top decorations and attention-grabbing booths are guaranteed when more than 100 local vendors pack into a century-old Central Eastside Industrial District warehouse for the highly anticipated Portland Night Market. Adorned with hanging lanterns and twinkly lights, and stuffed to the gills with music, food and libations, this festive celebration of culture and commerce feels more like a bustling block party than your average pop-up.
Crafty Wonderland
Biannual: May & December
Founded in 2006 as a small gathering of local artists and crafters, Crafty Wonderland has expanded to fill a 60,000-square-foot (5,574-sq m) hall in the Oregon Convention Center. Their annual holiday sale draws 20,000 shoppers each year, but if you miss the event, you can still browse creations by hundreds of Portland artists at the year-round Crafty Wonderland retail shop.
My People’s Market
Held twice a year since its inception in November 2017, My People’s Market brings together dozens of local artists, entrepreneurs and creatives of color for live music, networking and shopping. Developed by four local nonprofits (Mercatus, Prosper Portland, Travel Portland and Partners in Diversity), the first My People’s Market connected Portland creators of color with the travel industry and professionals who could help expand and scale their businesses.
Unique Markets
Highlighting the city’s most inspiring independent designers, retailers and small businesses, Unique Markets is a women-led and owned pop-up market and trade show during the month of May. The event cultivates a space for small businesses and independent retailers to connect with the community and sell their creations. Shoppers can enjoy the benefits of shopping small — with live music, DIY crafting space and local coffee brews and foods.
Portland Indigenous Marketplace
Supporting indigenous artists and artisans, the Portland Indigenous Marketplace provides respectful spaces that encourage cultural resilience and economic sustainability. The market is held several times throughout the year where you can shop for handmade items such as jewelry and fine art, taste delicious treats from local artisans, and support entrepreneurs from pre-colonial cultures.
