Rose City Yarn Crawl: Unravel Portland
Sunday, March 5
Various Locations Portland, OR
This four-day event is for fiber enthusiasts, allowing them to explore the many yarn shops in and around Portland. Founded in 2009, the Rose City Yarn Crawl is an annual event aimed at knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners and felters.
The 2017 Rose City Yarn Crawl features 14 Portland-area yarn shops – so crawlers can investigate the many neighborhoods in the city. Each shop offers special events and trunk shows during the Rose City Yarn Crawl. This makes every yarn shop visit unique! From live baby alpacas to live music, hourly drawings and indie artist trunk shows, each and every one of the 14 yarn shops have something special to offer.
Each shop will create a unique pattern just for this event, based on a common theme. The 2017 theme is "Portland Pastimes," celebrating all the wonderful ways Portlanders spend time enjoying their hometown. Every shop will offer a knitting pattern and many will also provide a pattern to crochet -- free during the Yarn Crawl with any in-shop purchase.
