Directed by Brenda Hubbard. By Alan Ayckbourn.
Elizabeth, a former dancer, will do anything to escape her overbearing husband, Roland, who is poised to buy an old Victorian house; a former brothel said to be haunted by its prior inhabitants. Also involved are Elizabeth’s brother Mark and his fiancée Kitty, who are attempting their engagement for the second time after Kitty left Mark at the altar. Add to the mix an inarticulate solicitor and a motorcycle maniac, and you have one of Ayckbourn’s funniest and most heartfelt comedies.
